Behind The Waterworks: The Process of Purity

Written by Akosi Nene Cristina at 7:00 PM

I'm not yet a mother but when I become one I'm sure I'll be very protective and keen to details to whatever my children will be eating or drinking.

Mothers don’t settle for second best.
When it comes to their family, they go beyond what is expected of them to ensure that their families, especially their kids, are safe.

Today, one of the major things that concern mothers everywhere is the availability of safe drinking water. A mother doesn’t want her family to suffer from numerous waterborne diseases and is the reason why she keeps a close eye on her family’s drinking water.

Absolute Distilled Drinking Water understands the meticulousness of a mother’s heart.
This is the reason why, just like a mother, Absolute goes beyond what is expected to provide Filipino families with nothing but the very best.

Absolute begins the process by using surface, depth-type, and Absolute-type filters to remove impurities. Surface and depth filters eliminate 90% of visible and minute, while a third Absolute filter removes the 10% otherwise missed. The Absolute filter removes unpleasant tastes and odor through carbon filtration, which cleans organic chemical contaminants.

While others may stop at filtration, Absolute goes the extra mile through demineralization, which has two parts deionizing using cation and anion resins.

Demineralization separates water molecules from impurities still left in the water. Deionizing is critical because water is less pure when there are more positively or electrically charged minerals. At this stage, positive ions such as calcium+ and magnesium+ are replaced by hydrogen (H) ions, while sulfate and other negative ions are replaced with hydroxide (OH) ions.

To provide only the safest and cleanest drinking water, Absolute Distilled Drinking Water undergoes a thorough distillation process that takes out anything that could harm your family.

Distillation eliminates bacteria growing on the resins used during demineralization, and also removes organic or non-electrolyte particles.
First, demineralized water is heated at 100°C.where it is sterilized. Impurities and elements sink as the water evaporates. The evaporated water is then cooled and collected by a condenser, resulting in water safe and clean enough for the family.

But for the only brand in the country to receive a National Sanitation Foundation International certification, one more step is added to ensure only the purest water.
Absolute adds ozone (O3) to ensure water is free from bacteria before bottling. Finally, it is checked for residual ozone, which converts to oxygen in a continuous process that ensures ongoing sterilization even inside the bottle.

Absolute takes pride in the extra efforts it takes to ensure only the safest, cleanest water for your family.

With Absolute, how pure is my water is a question a mom would never ask again.
